Come be a part of the Bacchus Ball on Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Country Club of Jackson as the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi rolls out the Mardi Gras carpet for Bacchus Ball 2014! Originally organized by the late Warren and Elsie Hood, the party has grown each year.
The Atlanta, the South’s most authentic Motown, Soul and R & B band, will perform, and ball goers can bid on artwork, jewelry, sports memorabilia and amazing deals from the Jackson area and beyond as part of silent and live auctions.
Featured live auction artists include Vicki Armstrong, Bewey Bowden, Greg Cartmell, Ginny Futvoye, Lucy Mazzafferro, Gayle Reaves, Yvette Sturgis and Bob Tompkins.
The live auction also includes beautiful jewelry from Lee-Michaels and a choice of a vacation at the New York Fairmont Plaza; a trip to the Ritz in the heart of San Francisco and on to the Napa Valley; a Lake Tahoe Ski package at the Hyatt Lake Tahoe Resort; and for the family, a trip to Disney World’s Polynesian Resort.
Money raised at the Bacchus Ball will support Camp Kandu, the Diabetes Foundation’s biannual camp for children with diabetes and their families, as well as provide life-saving medications to individuals who have diabetes and no health insurance.
“We feel that it is important that every dollar raised at the Bacchus Ball will stay here in Mississippi,” said Ball Chairmen Stephanie and Dallas Allbritton.
Seats are limited. Tickets, (601) 957-7878, or visit www.msdiabetes.org.
