    Man pleads guilty in Flowood armed robbery

    David M. Gregory was sentenced to 30 years after pleading guilty to armed robbery. The last 10 years of his sentence will be suspended and he will be placed on five years of supervised probation following his release from custody, Madison and Rankin County District Attorney Michael Guest said.

    Rankin's Wheat named first alternate at the Distinguished Young Women of Mississippi

    Michaelah Wheat, Distinguished Young Woman of Rankin County, was selected as the first alternate at the Distinguished Young Women of Mississippi Program at the Temple Theatre in Meridian. Wheat won a total of $5,200 in cash scholarships.
